EP18: LAMENT OF JESUS

This episode I would like to share with you Pope Benedicts XVI theological reflection on the Lament of Jesus in his book Jesus of Nazareth Holy Week: From Entrance Into Jerusalem to the Resurrection.

Our shared human experience tells us that at some point in time in our lives, we have experienced that seemingly absence and silence of God in our lives. It pierces us to the core of our soul when we ceaselessly calls but receives no answer.

I will be sharing with you great many Old Testament allusions that are woven in the Passion Narrative.

Jesus showed us that in our anguish there is rescue not only for Himself but for all of us and He brings us into Himself to transform us.
